FAQs

How often should my child be tutored

When should I start tuition?

We offer weekly lessons and additional assistance during the run up to exams.

Tuition should start at the end of Y3 in both English and mathematics

How do I start with Invictus Elite Tuition?

A 55 minute assessment is completed for Maths and a 55 minute assessment is also completed for English. Full feedback and a discussion with the parents is given and a course of action is agreed including potential lesson times.

What does a lesson include?

Lessons are for 55 minutes and include a lesson via Zoom of one to one teaching. Each lesson will use text books that match the curriculum and/or scheme of work to reach the agreed targets. Homework is also provided and a weekly message including any notes to keep the parents up to date with progress.

Must I have tuition in both maths and English ?

It is not mandatory to have both subjects taught but our approach in Invictus Elite Tuition is that we take an holistic approach to your child’s progress. We very rarely find a student who excels to such an extent that they do not require that coaching or mentoring that ensures the highest chance of gaining success. Our extraordinary results would support this approach. Simply put if we only teach one subject it is like asking us to clap with just one hand.

When do you provide lessons?

Lessons occur during the whole year including the school holidays. The Invictus team takes a break over the Christmas period, for 2 weeks during summer. Lessons are timetabled after school during weekdays and throughout Saturday and are aligned as far as possible to suit the student.

It should be noted that Invictus Elite Tuition is heavily subscribed with waiting lists often existing for the most popular times and days.
